FRANCESCONI, GIACOMO “MINO”
AUGUST 15, 1926-FEBRUARY 18, 2017

It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the passing of Giacomo Francesconi, who died peacefully in the early morning of February 18th at age 90. A carpenter and home builder by trade, he came to Toronto from Spilimbergo in 1956. Mino was a very loving and proud father to his children Robert (Beverley) and the late Oriana (Bob Erickson). Beloved husband of the late Liliana. A loving companion to his exceptionally caring partner Rosalie DellaMora, who will miss him greatly, along with her family, namely Bernadette (Manny) with children Gregory and Catherine, Dennis (Maryanne), and Darlene (John) with children Theresa and Marcus. Mino was the beloved and treasured Nonno to Jennifer (Dean), Alex (Shannon), Kristopher (Courtney), Kelly, and Debra (Dave). Especially loved by great grandchildren Joshua, Liliana, Lucas, Jersey and Thomas. Cherished big brother to siblings Gianni (predeceased), Renato, Silvano and Antonietta. Mino also maintained loving relationships with his many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews and will be missed by all. Family and friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home, 2035 Weston Rd. (north of Lawrence Ave. W.), Weston on Monday February 20th from 7-9pm and Tuesday February 21st from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, February 22nd at St. Bernard de Clairvaux Roman Catholic Church, 1789 Lawrence Ave. W. (east of Jane St.) at 10:00am. Entombment to follow at Assumption Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Kidney Foundation of Canada or the Friuli Long Term Care Centre would be appreciated by the family.
