KORBELY, Geza - We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Geza at the age of 73. On Friday, July 9, 2010, after a long courageous battle with cancer Geza passed away peacefully at home in Oakville with family by his side. Born in Nyiregyhaza, Hungary to Kalman and Janina (predeceased), he decided to begin a new life in Montreal in 1958. Geza had a big heart, strong will, was loved and respected by many. Beloved husband of Jadwiga (Kowal) of 49 years. Dearest father of Richard, Lester, Yolande (Steven). Loving 'Dziadzia' to Julia, Daniel and Olivia. He will be missed greatly by brother-in-law Zbigniew (Jadwiga) Kowal, as well as many nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. Special thanks to Dr. Marc Trudeau of Alberta for all his care, compassion and for providing us additional years with our beloved father and friend. We thank Dr. Leroy Franklin for his excellent care, the doctors and nurses of the Trillium Oncology Department and the Halton CCAC staff for making his final months comfortable. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Anthony's Polish Catholic Parish, 40 John Street, Oakville, on Friday, July 16, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. followed by interment at Park Lawn Cemetery in Toronto.
