Germana Pontes

On Sunday, July 15, 2018, Germana Pontes, 97 years old, passed away at the Brampton Civic Hospital. She was surrounded by her family. She fought a good fight. We wish that so much of her life had not been lost to her illness, that things could have been different for her, and for us. We know she is finally at peace and that her struggles are at an end.

She will be sadly missed. She was a devoted wife of the late Frank Pontes, mother extraordinaire to Esther Cockburn (spouse Jim), and Bob Pontes (spouse Debbie.) Loving and gentle grandmother to Krista Pontes, Brittany Marchese (spouse Dominic), and Shaun Cockburn (spouse Nicole). Proud great-grandmother to Alix and Claudia Masatti, Charlotte and Hannah Marchese and Maxwell Henson-Cockburn.

Family and Friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home, (52 Main Street, Brampton) on Thursday, July 19, 2018 from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary’s Church, (66A Main Street, Brampton) on Friday, July 20, 2018 at 10:30 a.m.
Interment to follow at Meadowvale Cemetery ( 7732 Mavis Rd, Brampton)
