On Tuesday February 27, 2024 in Brampton Germaine Gargam beloved wife of the late Maurice Louis Marie Gargam passed peacefully in her sleep.  Loving Mother of Marie-Helene (Helen) and her Husband Joseph Bondi. Dear grandmother of Kimberly and her husband Walter Rinaldi and Justin and his wife Daniela Bondi.  Cherished Great Grandmother of Olive Rinaldi, Stella Rinaldi, and Kinsley Bondi.

Friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home 52 Main Street South, Brampton on Thursday March 7, 2024 from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9pm.  A memorial mass will be held on Friday March 15, 2024 at 2pm. in the Woodhall Park Retirement Village 10250 Kennedy Road North, Brampton

Germaine Angelique Gargam was born in Bretagne, France in 1931. She loved her daughter, Marie-Helene and our entire family like nothing else in the world and she told us as much. All the time.

This is a woman who lost her father in an accident while her mother had her in her womb, who lost one of her sisters who fought the good fight in the French Underground in WWII, who worked two jobs and ran back and forth to two different hospitals in Paris where her husband and daughter were each convalescing with serious illnesses at the same time- she was selfless and relentless- a five star general when it came to looking after her family. Yet she was gentle and sweet and called everyone “darling”. 

She continued to talk to her husband, Maurice who predeceased her by 20 years every day. They had a beautiful marriage. Their house was the party house. They were expert gardeners and wonderful, generous hosts so their spectacularly lush backyard was the party backyard. The memories we have of those summer days and nights fill our hearts with so much love. 

Germaine was amazing and beloved. Absolutely beloved.
