SWITZER, Gerald "Jerry" - After a brief illness on Monday, August 3rd, 2009 at the Penetanguishene General Hospital in his 70th year. Beloved husband of Catherine Rose and the late Louise. Loving father of Richard, Stephen (Brenda), Lori (Sean) O'Neill and step-father to Beth (Stan), Barb (David) and Bob. Devoted Papa of Ashley, Jason, Tara-Lynne, Shannon and Shauna. Jerry will be sadly missed by his seven brothers and sisters, many nieces and nephews and all his family and friends. A special thank you to the doctors and nursing staff at the Palliative Care Unit. Friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home, 2035 Weston Road (north of Lawrence Avenue), Weston on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. at York Temple, 1100 Weston Road, Weston.
