Gerald Sebastian Rowe (January 20th 1933 – June 21st 2011)
Passed away suddenly at Brampton Civic Hospital on the morning of the 21st at the age of 78 following a respiratory illness.
Gerry was respected and admired by all who knew him. His pride and joy were his four loving sons: Steven, Graham, Timothy and Kevin, and his grandchildren: David, Angela, Ashley, Geoffrey, Christopher, Patrick, Sarah, Sean, Kylie, Chelsea and Austin.
A cherished brother to Ann, Bernie and Kevin. Predeceased by his parents Anastasia and Jack, brothers John and Michael, and beloved partner Chris. Also, survived by his first wife and friend Sylvia.
Born in London England, he brought his young family to Canada in 1966. Working two jobs to support his family he rose to become the Director of Purchasing for the Ontario Hospital Association. Gerry spent his last years in comfort and friendship at the WoodHall Retirement Home in Brampton with the care and support of the great staff and residents.
He will be greatly missed and forever remembered. He was a true English gentleman.
Friends may call at the Ward Funeral Home “Brampton Chapel” 52 Main Street South, (Hwy. #10), Brampton on Thursday June 22 from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9pm.. Complete funeral service in the chapel on Friday at 11am. Reception to follow at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #15, Brampton. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society.
