Georgina Olive Jackson (nee Ingram)
29 May, 1915 – 17 January 2016
Peacefully, at the Village of Humber Heights on January 17, 2016.
Georgie is predeceased by her husband, John (Jack) H. Jackson. She is also predeceased by her parents, Olive and George Ingram; and by her sisters, Marion and Elizabeth, and her brothers, Douglas and Beverly.
Georgie is survived by her children, Gaye (Drake) and John (Mary). She is also survived by her grandchildren, Leslie (Paul), David (Trish), Jennifer, and Sean (Veronique); and by her great-grandchildren, Chris, Amy, Rachel, Ben, Megan, Malcolm, Ethan, Hailey and Zachary.
Georgie’s life was full and rewarding, with careers as a psychiatric nurse, and a pioneering stewardess in the early days of Trans Canada Airlines.
Georgie also enjoyed the fellowship and kindness of her many friends at Humber Valley United Church.
The family wishes to acknowledge the very kind and supportive care of the staff at the Village of Humber Heights throughout Georgie’s residency there.
Friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home, 2035 Weston Road (north of Lawrence Ave) Weston, on Thursday from 2-4p.m .
A service will be held in the chapel on Friday, January 22, 2016 at 11a.m .
Interment will take place at Sanctuary Park Cemetery, Toronto.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Georgie’s name to a charity of your choice would be appreciated .
