George Potkidis

February 26, 1961 - October 23, 2021

George passed away unexpectedly at home on Saturday, October 23, 2021.

Reunited once again with his parents, John and Polimnia (both deceased), his beloved wife, Soula (deceased), and his best friend and brother-in-law, Angelo Katchutas (deceased). Cherished "little" brother to Avgi Katchutas, much loved Uncle to Tasha (Nick Dowbiggin) and Joanna, and Grand-Uncle/Godfather to Xavier and Charlotte. He also leaves behind many lifelong friends he considered family.

George was a humble and generous soul, and carried himself through life with a positive demeanour, no matter how difficult the times. His favourite saying was, "The honour is to serve." He always was devoted and supportive of others around him. He was loved so much by his family and friends. He will truly be missed by all.

Family and friends will be received at Ward Funeral Home, Weston Chapel, 2035 Weston Road, Toronto, on Thursday, October 28, 2021 from 2 - 4 p.m. and 6 - 8:30 p.m. Funeral to take place Friday, October 29, 2021 at 9:30 a.m. at Sts. Helen and Constantine Greek Orthodox Church, 1 Brookhaven Drive, Toronto.
