George Megaw

GEORGE WELLINGTON MEGAW May 14, 1939 - August 23, 2009 Peacefully at Burloak Long Term Care Centre, on August 23, 2009. He leaves his loving daughters Liane (Glenn) Tautrims and Kimberley (Kevin) Coughlin. Proud granddad will be missed by Ryan, Matthew and Christopher Tautrims. George is predeceased by his wife Arlene Megaw and granddaughter Brooke Arlene Coughlin. George was a retired employee of the Hudson's Bay Company and of Clarica. He was a member of the Rotary Club of Oakville Trafalgar and a Paul Fellows recipient. George was an avid boater and member of the Port Credit Yacht Club and a past commodore of the IFYR. The family wishes to thank the many friends and staff at Burloak LTC Centre who were so supportive during his time there. Friends and family will be received at Ward Funeral Home, 109 Reynolds Street, Oakville (905-844-3221) on Tuesday, September 1st from 6-9 p.m. A private Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, September 2nd.
