Passed away peacefully at his residence on Sunday, February 15, 2015, at the age of 96. He was predeceased by his wife Violet and his son James. Beloved father of Robert (Diana) and Susan (Calum). Proud grandfather to Cindy (Mike), Laurie (Peter), Kenneth (Katherine) and Jonathan. Cherished great grandfather to Kevin, Brett, Steven, Alexandra, Samantha, Christopher and Madelyn. Dear brother to Les. Predeceased by his brothers Robert and David. Well loved uncle to all his nieces and nephews. Dear brother-in-law to Sally Curry and Bea Jeffery. Predeceased by his dear friend Iris (Billie) Nugent. George will be sadly missed by all. Friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home 2035 Weston Road (north of Lawrence Ave) Weston, on Saturday, February 21, 2015 from 11:30 am until the time of service in the chapel at 1:30pm. Cremation to follow. As expressions of sympathy, donations to a charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.
