It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of George McGregor Chalmers at St. Joseph’s Health Centre on Saturday January 24, 2015 at the age of 94. Predeceased by his loving wife Mary with whom he shared 67 years of marriage. He will now be able to enjoy his reunion with his wife, his parents and 11 brothers and sisters who went before him. He will remain in the hearts of his children Ron (Iolanda), Patty (Walter), grandchildren Andrea (Marius), Darryl (Jodie), Ronnie (Jenny), Derek, Kelly and great grandchildren Ava, Ella, Lana, Ruby, Leah and Bryan. We would like to extend our gratitude for all the support we have received from family and friends – a true reflection of a great man. Family and friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home 2035 Weston Road (north of Lawrence Ave) Weston, on Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A service will be held in the chapel on Thursday at 11 a.m.
Interment to follow at Prospect Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Heart and Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
