Geoffrey Weir

Geoffrey Dyson Weir was reunited with his beloved wife Lois (nee Root) on November 26th, 2020 at the age of 89. Loving father of Laura Weir and her husband Peter Padalino of Richmond Hill. Dearly remembered by his sister Peggy Hayton and nephew Tony Hayton of Ottawa.

Born in Southport, England, Geoffrey moved to Canada in 1953. He was a professional engineer with a lifelong passion for amateur radio. Geoffrey was a wise and steady voice, a man of great character, and a rare true gentleman. He will always be loved and forever missed.

Respecting the current situation and pandemic restrictions, the graveside service will be private. We thank you for your understanding and encourage you to provide your condolences to the family through his memorial page. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Ward Funeral Home, Weston Chapel.
