Genuino Di Marco was born in Alanno, Abruzzo on May 26, 1936. He was a loving spouse, father, grandfather and a trusted friend. A Paver by trade, he was an exceptional man of character, integrity and courage. He lived his life with sophisticated simplicity, a strong faith and understated genuineness that a pure and genuine spirit can only manifest. Authenticity is what made him special. He lived with a lens of humour, prayer and perspective. His life was rooted in love, gentleness, compassion and understanding. He was energized by hope and optimism and carried Christ at the centre of all things. Genuino was a great teacher. He always told his children and grandchildren to love unconditionally, to persevere and to live with purpose and humility. He reminded us of our God given talents, to make a positive difference in the world and to always consider the well being of others. A few days before his passing, he stated with clarity and conviction that he wanted his loved ones to continue with his legacy of family unity and peace. He truly loved his wife Diana Maria. Diana and Genuino were always by each other's side and always celebrated each day together by toasting with a glass of "vino Genuino''. They did that each day throughout their 60 years of marriage. On Dec 29, he peacefully passed away at the age of 86 leaving a wonderful legacy of a life well lived. We will always remember his smile, his gentle soul and his genuine heart; His final message to his loved ones was: "Always love each other and keep Jesus in your heart...Amatevi sempre e ricordatevi che Gesu e sempre con voi." He will be forever missed by his children Alfonso (Elizabeth), Patrizia (Michael). Proud nonno to Alexander, Alicia, Lucas and Aron.
Genuino will join his siblings Vincenzo, Genoeffa, Nicola, and Pasquale, as well as his parents Alfonso, and Maria.
He will be held in the hearts of his family, relatives and friends.
