Garrett Norman James Lewis
Tragically passed away on the evening of Thursday August 20th on Lake Huron just north of Southampton, Ontario.
Garrett is the beloved son of Kathy and James Lewis of Aurora. Loving big brother of Wesley. Dear grandson of Marie (and the late James) Brand and of Gwendolyn (and the late Norman) Lewis. Garrett will be sadly missed by his aunts and uncles, cousins and their families.
Garrett was an amazing young man with a big heart. His years at Knox Camp helping others and making a difference in kid’s lives is an example of that. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends, his fellow students at Carleton, his Knox Camp ‘family’, and the Cornerstone Church ‘family’. Every day, since this tragedy, we are seeing an outpouring of love from people whose lives have been touched by Garrett.
Friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home, 4671 Highway 7, Woodbridge on Thursday from 6 to 9pm. A service to celebrate Garrett’s life will be held at Cornerstone Community Church, 180 Nashville Road (corner of Hwy 27 and Nashville) on Friday at 11am. Private interment will take place at a later time.
To honour Garrett’s memory, donations would be appreciated to the fundraising campaign “Friends of Garrett Lewis Fund”: http://de.gofund.me/hq2shjmw
