Gaetano (Mike) Capone

It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts we announce Gaetano (Mike) Capone passed away on January 14th, 2025. 

His greatest joy and achievement was his family. A beloved husband to Anna for 58 years. Loving father to Pat (Tobi), Angie (Ian) & Cathy (Kevin). Proud Nonno to Tyler, Joshua, Donella (Jeff), Lauren (Gerardo), Rebecca, Peyton (Brendan), Samantha (Jack), Stephanie (Nick), & Sabrina. Proud great Nonno to 6 great grandchildren, Ethan, Elena, Mateo, Alexia, Jax & Ava. 

He leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion, and cherished memories that will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to have crossed his path. He will live on through the hearts of his cherished family and friends.

Born October 2nd, 1947 in Avelino, Italy to Pasquale & Amelia Capone. He immigrated to Canada in 1956 to start a new and prosperous life. 

He loved spending time with his wife, kids and grandchildren, sharing his homemade wine, asking if you ate, sharing a story from his past, watching sports, cracking a joke, and giving the best advice, and always worrying about where you were. 

May it bring you comfort to know Heaven has gained an angel. 

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 17th, 2025 at the Ward Funeral Home (4671 Highway 7, Woodbridge) from 2pm - 4pm and 6pm - 8pm. Funeral service will be held the following day, Saturday, January 18th at 11:00 am in the Ward Funeral Home Chapel. His final resting place will be Glendale Cemetery, 1810 Albion Road, Toronto.
