It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Tanina on Monday, May 16, 2022 in her 93rd year.
Devoted wife of the late Stefano. Loving mother of Antonino (Sharon), Rosalia (Carmine) Settino and Vincenzo (Carmela Muia-Burzotta). Dear sister of Giuseppina, sister in law of Mimma and the late Angelo, Giuseppe and brother in law Francesco. Cherished Nonna of 5 grandchilren and 3 great grandchildren. She will be sadly missed by her extended family in Italy, friends and the staff of Villa Colombo.
Tanina will be fondly remembered for her steadfast devotion and outpouring love of family. Her smile was radiant and was always associated with fun-loving stories, Italian folk sayings and her joy for singing classic Italian songs. She was a compassionate, fiercely independent woman who valued her spiritual faith, fairness, loyalty and justice.
A private family Mass will be celebrated at All Saints Catholic Church, with the entombment to follow at Prospect Mausoleum.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Alzheimer’s Society of Canada or Villa Colombo Ladies Auxiliary would be appreciated.
