Peacefully surrounded by love of family and friends at the Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital on May 2, 2016. Born October 27th, 1944 in England. Dear sister of Jennifer Joan Prior of Owen Sound, Chris Prior (Ilona) of Oakville, Kathryn Elizabeth Faulkner (John) of Burlington and dear friend of Joan Hood of Toronto and Robert Stuart of Toronto. Gabrielle will be missed by her nephews and nieces. Gabrielle leaves behind dear friends at The Kensington in Oakville. Gabrielle received her PhD in English Literature from the University of Toronto and taught for many years at New College, University of Toronto. She had a special love of horses and was an accomplished horsewoman herself. A Memorial Service will be held at Ward Funeral Home, 109 Reynolds St., Oakville on Friday May 6, 2016 at 2 p.m. with one hour of visitation prior. A Reception at the Funeral Home will take place following the service. Memorial donations in Gabrielle’s name to World Vision would be appreciated by the family.
