In Loving Memory
Fredrick Scott passed away peacefully at the Humber River Hospital on January 2, 2022 after a short illness, he finally gone home to rest.
He was born on February 6, 1953 in Levera St Patrick’s. He was the last of eight children to Mrs. Madre and Mr Lionel Scott. Fredrick survives by his brothers Irvine Scott, who resides in the United Kingdom, Mr. Michael Scott, Miss Venance Scott and Mrs Cynthia Merryman who resides in Grenada. His decease brothers are Ralph Scott, Alister Scott, Wesley Scott and Donald Scott. In addition, Fredrick survives by his loving wife Grace Albertha Moses-Scott, three children; Loraine Scott, in the US; Wade Scott, Shawn Blackman in Canada and two step-Sons; Shawn and Todd Williams, seven grand children, many Nieces and Nephews residing in Grenada, Canada, United States and England.
As a young boy growing up in Grenada he attended the Anglican school in Sauteurs, St Patrick’s where his Aunt Anastasia Gordon-Mullins and his Uncles Crofton and Ashley Gordon were school teachers at the same school he attended. He was under the watchful eyes of his aunt and uncles who were disciplinarians and Fredrick had no other choice but to tour the line. As well an active member of the school choir.
He attended the Anglican Church every Sunday and he served on the Altar; locally call the altar boy. He participated in Sunday school regularly and song in the church choir.
Fredrick enjoyed playing cricket. He played on his school team and the local team in his village. He specialised in fast bowling, on a good day, opposing teams had a hard time surviving his lethal speed.
After Leaving school Fredrick joined the police academy in 1974, after completion his training he joined the Royal Grenada Police Force 1976.
As a police constable he met and fell in love with his sweat heart and in 1976 he join in holy matrimony with Gemma Nyack 1972. One year later had a beautiful daughter Loraine Nyack.
In 1979 Fredrick migrated to the US, after separating and divorcing his wife, in 1982 he moved to Canada where he met his current wife Grace Albertha Moses and in April 1997 joins in holy matrimony. From that reunion they had Wade Scott.
Frederick was a very hard working person full of discipline obtain from going to school under the guidance and watchful eyes of his aunt and uncles, together, from the military training in the Grenada Police Force gave him that strong work ethics. He joined Shell Company in 1984 and worked until 2022. Throughout the thirty eight (38 years), working with Shell he undergo various training from different collages as a Propane Specialist. His departure would be well miss by his friends, family and coworkers.
Fredrick, Sleep on my brother may your soul rest in peace until we meet again. We will always miss you from your Loving wife Grace, Loraine, and Wade Scott; Shawn Blackman, Shawn Williams and Todd Williams.
