Frederic Sievert

SIEVERT, Frederic John - October 19, 1924 - October 6, 2009 It is with deepest sorrow that the family announces Fred's passing on Tuesday, October 6, 2009 at Toronto East General Hospital. He leaves his son John, daughter-in-law Mary Ann, granddaughter Katerina (Katya) and son Doug. Fred is predeceased by his loving wife of 52 years, Joyce Brownlee Sievert (nee Soward) and son Scott and daughter-in-law Wendy. Fred served "overseas" in Newfoundland during WWII, graduated with a degree in Engineering from University of Toronto then worked at Union Carbide until he retired to enjoy more time on the fairways and at the cottage. Fred is already missed and will always be loved. The family would like to acknowledge the extraordinary care he received from Diane Quesnel during the last 5 years of his life up to and including his last breath. Judy Wilson also cared for Fred with rare kindness and respect. Fred was lucky to have known both of you. As well, the family would like to thank the amazing staff at Toronto East General who treated Fred with such generosity and compassion his last days on earth. Visitation will be held at Ward Funeral Home, 2035 Weston Rd. on Friday, October 9, between 1-2:30 p.m. The Funeral Service will commence thereafter at The Ward Chapel. A reception will follow at Weston Golf and Country Club, 50 St. Phillips Rd. from 3:15-5:15 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Toronto East General Hospital would be appreciated.
