Frank Szoke

SZŐKE, FERENC
February 26, 1928 – July 8, 2021

It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to Ferenc, who passed away on July 8th, 2021 at Humber River Regional Hospital at the age of 93.

Ferenc was born in Mol, Serbia, and he came to Canada in 1957 with his family to start a new life. He split many years between Toronto and Florida where he enjoyed visiting Warm Mineral Springs. He worked hard, building his construction business from the ground up, which kept him busy even into his later years.

Loving husband and best friend of Gizella (predeceased August 16, 1980) who was taken far too soon. Beloved father of Frank (Judith). Cherished grandfather of Frank (Nikki), Kristina, Shannon, and Ryan. Will be sadly missed by his great-granddaughter Lexi. He was a loving son and brother, predeceased by his parents Pál and Terézia (nee Berec) and brothers Pál, and István and sister-in-law Rózsa, and survived by his brother Lajos (Éva).

Cremation has taken place privately.

Family and friends are invited to a Memorial Funeral Mass to honour his life which will be held on Wednesday August 4th at 11:00 a.m. at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church, 432 Sheppard Ave. E., Toronto, ON.

A reception will be held immediately following the mass in the church hall.

As an expression of sympathy, donations, in lieu of flowers, may be made to St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church.
