Frank Savoia

Passed away peacefully on Tuesday March 26, 2024 at the age of 82. Devoted husband of Concetta of 56 wonderful years. Proud father of Dino, Josie (Mike) and Diana (Tony). Cherished Nonno of Vanessa, Amanda, Natalie, Daniel, Juliana, Marco and Alessia. Frank will be sadly missed by his sister Lidia, daughter- in-law Tanya and his many family and friends. 

Born in Aprigliano, Italy to parents Demetrio and Giuseppina Savoia in the winter of 1942. He came to Canada at a young age with other family members for a better life. 

Frank met his beautiful young bride to be through his sister in law. They got married in October 1967. Together the couple worked hard to build a life for themselves and their family.

Frank’s life revolved around his family. He was happiest when his grandchildren were around. Family meals were always an event with the Savoia household, enjoying good food, great company and a glass of his homemade wine.  Frank loved having his children and grandchildren around for the many traditions he enjoyed. His favourite tradition was making his homemade wine and getting together as a family for events and holidays. Frank will be missed by his friends that he got together with everyday for coffee, Ken, Bruno, Luigi, Ralph, Tony, Robert, Marcel and the late Frank. 

Frank was a generous giving man who would help anyone in need. He will be missed by all who knew him.  Family and friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home 4671 Hwy 7, Woodbridge on Monday from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday April 2, 2024 at 11 in the funeral home chapel. Entombment to follow at Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
