Frances "Nancy" Peterson

Frances Margaret "Nancy" Peterson was born October 7, 1931 in Sydney, Nova Scotia to John Joseph McPherson and Beatrice Ida McPherson (nee Somers).

Frances came from a large family of 9 children and is predeceased by her siblings Russie (Ollie), Theresa (Mike), Agnes (Lawrence), Jackie (Carol), Leo (Margie), Zita (Fernie), Veronica (Willis) and is survived by her youngest sister Josie (Jack).

Frances met Leon Peterson at Buckley's Drug Store in Sydney, Nova Scotia.  They moved to Toronto and were married January 28, 1956.

Frances and Leon were parents to Stephen (Jo-Ann), Ron (Brenda) and John (Diane) and proud grandparents of Georgia (Peter), Shanon (Chris), Ashley, Philip (Kayla) and Ryan (Megan); and great grandparents to Caleb, Sydney, Ruby and Piper.

Frances worked for UAP for 27 years before retiring in 1997.

Frances faithfully supported the Canadian Cancer Society and would be happy to have donations made in her memory.
