Frances Louise Heppolette

Frances passed peacefully at home on April 20, 2024.  

Born in 1929 to Harry Lloyd Johnston and Gwendolyn Anne (Robson) Johnston, Frances was raised in Montreal Quebec and Windsor Ontario.  She graduated from McGill University, and worked as a chemist in London, UK and Ottawa, Ontario.  She married Robert (“Bob”) Louis Heppolette and raised sons David James and John Desmond in Toronto.  Frances is predeceased by her parents and her brother Charles Linwood Lloyd (“Lin”) Johnston.  Frances is survived by her sons, grandchildren Connor Andrew, Jeremy James, Amy Frances, John Desmond (“Des”), Elizabeth Louise (“Lizzy”) Heppolette and Sydney Risley Cullihall, and great grandchildren Olivia Lynn Heppolette and Aubrey Lee Heppolette.

Frances was full of energy, a strong matriarch with a clear sense of purpose and order.  She was active in skiing, tennis, hiking and swimming, and continued to go to the gym well into her 90s.  In her later years everyone who met her was amazed by her intellect, wit, positivity, and gratitude.  She will be dearly missed by many, but we know that she lives on in each of us.
