Filippa Accardo
Filippa Accardo passed away on August 8, 2016 in her 95th year surrounded by her family. Predeceased by her husband Gaetano and survived by her children Joe (Donna) and Sara Adamo (Baldo – deceased); Nonna to grandchildren Frances, Thomas (Vanessa), Enzo (Diane), Elizabeth (Rick) and Laura; and great-grandchildren Mya, Branden, Richard, Justin and Max; and sister Caterina (Simone).
Filippa immigrated to Canada from Italy in 1952 and lived a full and wonderful life in Canada making a home for her family. Her house was always the focal point for many family and extended family gatherings as well as informal drop-ins. She was particularly proud of her grandchildren and cherished the arrival of each new great-grandchild. She will be missed by her family and many friends.
