It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Ferdinando Barbieri.

Ferdinando passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of his family in his 81st year on March 20th, 2025. Ferdinando was born in Stefanaconi, Vibo Valentia, Calabria, Italy to Nicola and Maria Giuseppina on September 20, 1943, and was one of seven children. He is now reunited with his siblings Paolo (Vittoria), Vittoria (Basilio), Giuseppina (Raffaele), and his twin brother, Onofrio (Rosa). He is survived by his sisters Raffaela (Vittorio; predeceased), and Rosa (Fillipo).

Ferdinando will be greatly missed by his beloved wife of 58 years, Giovanna with whom he has known since they were childhood sweethearts. He was a proud and doting father to Josie (Tino), Nick (Melissa), and Salvatore. Dearest Nonno to Daniel and Julia.

He will be fondly remembered for his outgoing and happy demeanor. He loved to socialize with his family and friends and always ensured that his family was provided for.

Our grief over losing Ferdinando is infinite, but our loving memory of him will always remain in our hearts.

Family and friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home (4671 Highway 7, Woodbridge) on Friday, March 28, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Immaculate Conception Parish (300 Ansley Grove Road, Woodbridge) on Saturday, March 29, 2025, at 9:30 a.m. Entombment to follow at Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery
