With heavy hearts we wish to announce the passing of Evelyn Friend of 86 years. Her death came suddenly on October 29, 2022. She was born on July 18, 1936, in Weston, apart of Toronto, Ontario, to Fredrick William Haywood and Mary Mini Gurney. She is survived by her brothers Fred Haywood (Predeceased) and brother Jim Haywood and wife Linda Haywood. Husband Bill Friend (Predecised) children Ronald Peter Simpson Jr,, James David Simpson and wife Heidi A Simpson, Michael Bradley Simpson, Brenda Lynn Tina Louise Simpson, Thomas Jeffery Steven Simpson with Sheri Alexander, Daniel Gregory Joseph Simpson with Liz Dennis, Johnathan Dean Andrew Simpson (Predeceased) Rose-Anna Cindy Lynn Simpson Scea with husband Edward Scea. Evelyn loved twelve grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

Funeral services will beheld on November 4, 2022 at Ward Funeral Home 2035 Weston road York, Ontario. The viewing will be held at 11:30 -12:45 with the funeral to begin at 1:00pm. Following the funeral Evelyn will be laid to rest at Glendale Cemetery. In leu of flowers, Evelyn would appreciate your donations be given to The Hospital for Sick Children Toronto Ontario.
