McCluskey, Eunice
It is with saddened hearts Eunice's family announce the peaceful passing of our dearest mother and best friend at Millcreek Care Centre after a stubborn fight with pneumonia on January 15th, 2015 surrounded by both immediate & extended family in her 82nd year. She left to join her beloved husband, the late Victor as well as parents Eva & Burleigh Hamilton and brothers Jim & Wayne with surviving sister Aura in her thoughts. Eunice will be sadly missed by her daughter Joy-Lynne (Steve Pulita) & son Robert (long time partner Shirley) as well as grand children Kristina, Robert, Scott, and Jennifer and 4 great-grand children. Eunice was fortunate to have many nieces & nephews as well as extended family who loved her, and as a long time resident of Humber Summit/Weston, Ontario was well known throughout the community as a familiar & beloved neighbour. Thank you to those who watched out for her on her daily walks with her dog Princess & those who helped her stay in her own home. She worked many years with children as a crossing guard and in the local junior high school cafeteria who earned a lot of respect while teaching others how to love & value each other. Eunice took great pride in her home and community, leaving a legacy to her children & others of how to be hard working, kind, patient & gracious even during the most difficult times. Being strong willed earned Eunice the reputation of being a fighter & whom always amazed others in the way she bounced back. Heartfelt thanks to Shannon for being with her during her journey, as well as the generous love and care from Jasna, Miriam, Lizzie and all of the loving PSW's and staff at Millcreek in keeping her in a loving home - you are all angels! Friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home, 2035 Weston Road (north of Lawrence Ave. W), Weston on Sunday, January 18th from 2:30 - 4:00 p.m. followed by service at 4:00 pm in the Chapel. Interment will take place in the spring at Maple Grove Cemetery, Havelock. In lieu of flowers, please consider sending a donation to either the Alzheimer Society or Parkinson’s Society in Eunice's honor. Please visit our book of memories at www.wardfuneralhome.com
