Peacefully, surrounded by his family on Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at Georgetown Hospital in his 92nd year. Beloved husband of the late Gertrud for 59 years. Loving father of Rolf (Donna), Werner (Angie) and Sigrid (Roland Stebner). Dear Opa of Daniel (Amanda), Julie (James Temple), Justin, Aaron, Caroline, Jaquelin, Ryan, Eric and Evelyn. Dear Great Opa of Logan, Jayden and Ava. Cherished brother of Siegbert, Erwin (Eva), and Elli Foerster of Belgern, Germany. Ernst was predeceased by sisters Else (Leo Lemke) and Martha (Felix Szulc). He will be forever loved and greatly missed by his many nieces , nephews, family and friends. A heartfelt thank you to his many kind neighbours and church family for their love and support. Friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home, 2035 Weston Road (North of Lawrence Ave. W.) Weston on Sunday, January 4th 2015 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. and on Monday from 10:00 am until the time of the service at 11:00 am at German Church of God, 9 McArthur St., Toronto. Interment to follow at Sanctuary Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Red Cross or Canadian Hearing Society would be appreciated.
