Ernesto DeCiantis had a remarkable journey from his birth on January 24, 1930 in Sora Italy, to his arrival in Canada on January 30, 1955. He created a beautiful life here, with his wife and daughter joining him later, on December 16, 1956. The family flourished with the addition of two sons, and he was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.
His legacy lives on through the love he shared with his wife Rita and their children Rosalba (& Salvatore), Franco (& Lori), Ennio (& Lynn).
The many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, including Vittorio (& Andria), Anthony (& Sonia), Domenic (& Amanda), Stephanie (& Mark), Melissa (& Jess), Christina, Nicole, Maya, Emma, Clare, Alessia, Michael, Oakland, Oliver, and Julian, are a testament to the family's deep bonds
Ernesto's passions and hobbies, like card playing, fishing, and tending to his vegetable garden, showcased his zest for life. His sociable nature and ability to connect with others wherever he went made him a cherished presence in the lives of those he encountered. His tradition of seeking fresh produce on Sundays highlighted his appreciation for the simple pleasures.
It's clear that Ernesto's warmth and love touched everyone around him. He will be deeply missed, but his memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those he touched throughout his life.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Ernesto's name to Hospice Vaughan would be greatly appreciated by the family.
