Ernesta Falzetta
July 9, 1916 – December 20, 2018

Ernesta passed away peacefully on December 20th, 2018 at St.Joseph’s Hospital at the age of 102. Born in Lattarico, Cosenza, Italia, she was the second eldest of nine children of Rosa Fabiano and Giuseppe Gentile (all pre-deceased). Ernesta was the beloved wife of the late Vincenzo Falzetta and loving mother to her children Maria, pre-deceased, (Francesco), Frank (Mary) and Anna (Ron – who could always bring a smile to her face). She is lovingly remembered as Mamma Ernesta by her grandchildren, Antonio (Maria-Teresa), Brunella (Adolfo), Rosanna (Gennaro) and great-grandchildren Gennarino, Pina, Antonio and Ida Maria; and as Nunna to her god-children (nephew and niece) Renaldo Antonio “Totonno” and Rosa Maria. Ernesta will be held dear in the hearts of her family, nephews and nieces near and far, friends and neighbours. Friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home, Weston Chapel (2035 Weston Road 416-241-4618) on Thursday, December 27, 2018 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday, December 28, 2018 at 9:30 a.m. at All Saints Catholic Church, 1415 Royal York Rd, Etobicoke, ON M9P 3A7, (416) 244-3066. Entombment to follow at Glendale Memorial Gardens (on Albion & Hwy 27). If desired, donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
