Ernest (Ken) MacNair

MACNAIR, Ernest Kenneth (Ken). Passed away peacefully at Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital January 11, 2011 in his 89th year. Pre-deceased by his wife Lois Aileen (nee Hébert).

Born in Newcastle N.B., resident of Oakville for 36 years, formerly of Dorval, Québec. Stationed in Newfoundland with the RCAF from age 18 to 22. Graduated from U.N.B. in 1949 with a degree in Electrical Engineering. Had a successful career as an electrical engineer with Bell Canada for 34 years in Montréal and Toronto. Loving father of Joanne, John, and Andrew (Mandi). Lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Matthew, Kimberly, Kevin and Wallace. Interment New Mills United Church, New Mills, N.B. A celebration of Ken’s life will be held in Jacquet River N.B. (Ken’s home town) in July 2011. Donations in his memory may be made to Acclaim Health Halton and the Red Cross, whose volunteers contributed so wonderfully to Ken’s last years.
