Passed away peacefully on February 25, 2014. Bert fought a brave battle against cancer. Beloved husband to Nancy. Fondly remembered by Cornelia. Loving Father to Robert (Robin), (predeceased by Joycelyn), Marie (the late Eldon), Robert and Penny (Mitch). Will be missed by his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Brother of Cor, Joke and Mieke and many nephews and nieces in Netherlands. Thank you to the oncology and palliative care staff at Brampton Civic Hospital. He was a Steam Fitter for more than 35 years in the construction industry and Goodyear Canada.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to Brampton Civic Hospital, Canadian Cancer Society or Cystic Fibrosis would be appreciated.
