Emily was born in Glasgow, Scotland on August 11, 1930. She immigrated to Ontario when she was 26 years old. 

She passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by family and loved ones. Emily is predeceased by her loving husband Robert of 54 years. Mother to Lorraine and Bernie (D), Jeanette and Roger. Grandmother extraordinaire to Jennifer (Andrea), Kathryn (Jim), James, Theresa, and Jeffrey. Great-grandmother to Abby, Mac, Nate, Liam, Carter, and Owen, who were her pride and joy. Loving sister to Grace and Aunt to Betsy, John, and Tristan. 

She will be fondly remembered by family and friends, near and far. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to the Alzheimer's Society or ALS Society of Canada.
