Elvira Pasqualina Fallico (nee Magliocco)

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our dearest matriarch, Elvira Fallico. Elvira passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her family on December 14, 2023 in her 97th year. Elvira was born on October 7, 1926 in San Vincenzo, La Costa, Consenza, Italy to Luigi and Ermira Magliocco. Growing up in a small town, Elvira had unknowingly spent her childhood living beside her future husband, Domenico, with whom she is now reunited. Elvira and Domenico married on August 10, 1947 after he returned from World War II. In 1963, Elvira moved with her family to Canada to join her husband, who had made the journey two years prior in search of a better life for their family.

Elvira was a devoted mother to Biagio (Carmela, predeceased), Emilio (Bruna), and Tony (Mary). Doting Nonna to Elvira (Sam), Mario, Domenic, Angela, Marisa (Peter), Frank (Pauline), Michael, Robert, David (Kathleen). Loving Nonnanonna to Daniel (Tori), Emily, Mia, Antonio, Vincent, Alexander, Christina, Michael, Johnathan, Marco, Anthony and James.

Elvira’s commitment to her family was unmatched. She dedicated herself wholeheartedly to ensuring her family was loved and cared for. She was very giving, and always put everyone before herself. She was always very precise and meticulous, ensuring that everything had its place. Along with spending time with her family, Elvira loved to spend time in her garden, and cooking meals for her loved ones.

Friends and Family will be received at the Ward Funeral Home (4671 Highway 7, Woodbridge) on Monday, December 18, 2023 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on December 19, 2023 at St. Roch’s Parish (2889 Islington Avenue, North York) at 10:00 a.m. Entombment to follow at Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery.

In memory of Elvira, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation and the Canadian Cancer Society.
