Ellen (Ellenor) Newbigging

Ellenor Hunter Newbigging (nee Thomas)

Passed away peacefully in her sleep on Friday October 15th, 2010 after a short but very brave battle with cancer. She is survived by her loving husband Robert who will miss her terribly as well as her three loving sons Stuart (Lisa), Grant (Sandy) and Graham (Susan).

She will also be missed by her loving grandchildren Dana, Scott, Calantha, Alexander and Damon.

Ellenor was born in Rutherglen, Scotland in 1941 and immigrated to Canada with Robert and the kids in 1966 where she spent her years raising the entire family. Montreal was a special place for the family where they spent 10 years from 1967 to 1976.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.

Visitation for family and friends will be held at the Ward Funeral Home, 109 Reynolds Street, Oakville, (905)844-3221, on Monday, October 18th from 7-9 p.m. A celebration of Ellenor’s life will be held in the chapel on Tuesday, October 19th, at 3:00 p.m. A book of memories may be signed at www.wardfuneralhome.com
