ELIZABETH 'BETTY' MAHONEY Peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, January 14, 2010 at the age of 76. After a courageous battle with cancer. Devoted wife of the late Michael of 42 years. Loving mother of Kim (Steve Tyson), Bradley (Judy) and Maureen and partner Steve Hill. Grandma will be sadly missed by Tyler, David, Connor, Michelle, Liz, Leanne and Samantha. Betty is survived by sisters Rena and Margaret and sister-in-law Joan (Bob). Will be greatly missed by her lifelong friend Mhairi and many friends and family. Friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home - 4671 Hwy. 7, Woodbridge, 905-851-9100, on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Monday, January 18, 2010 in the Ward Chapel. Private interment with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
