Elide Ragazzon

It is with profound grief, that we announce the passing of our dear Mother, Nonna, and Bisnonna; Elide Ragazzon. Who on February 12, 2025 at the age of 92, left us peacefully in the company of her family. She was the beloved mother of Flavio (predeceased) Graziella (Francesco), Flavio (Leanne), and Roberto (Andrea). She is now reunited with her husband, Aldo, her firstborn son, Flavio, her parents, Augusto and Vittoria, her siblings, Costantina, Anita, Fiorello, Anita, and Mario. 

Though her absence leaves us with heavy hearts we take solace in the knowledge that she is at peace, watching over us

Her love lives on through her grandchildren—Raffaele (Jennifer), René (Dialda), Jamie (Amanda), Jesse (Jenna), Tanya (Richard), Tricia (Josh), Ashley (Ryan), Dylan, Nicolas, Anelisa, Olivia, and Julien—as well as her great-grandchildren—Alex, Lucas, Vanessa, Alessa, Luca, Bella, Gracelynne, Jaxon, Madelyn, Gavin, Emery, Ciana, and Rosie—each of whom brought her immeasurable joy and pride. She also leaves behind her dear sister Danila in Italy, and extended family with many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly. 

Born on April 26, 1932, the eldest of seven siblings, she grew up in the small town of San Foca di San Quirino, Italy. In 1957, accompanied by her two children, she embarked on a new journey to Canada to join her husband. With unwavering resilience, she built a life filled with love and devotion to her family.

Her greatest joy was her family, cooking, and gardening. She dedicated her life to nurturing those she loved with warmth, wisdom, unwavering strength, and, of course, the best lasagna.

Her presence was a constant source of love and comfort, and her memory will forever be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

A life so beautifully lived deserves to be beautifully remembered.

Family and friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home 4671 Hwy 7, Woodbridge (just west of Pine Valley Dr.) on Monday, February 24th, 2025 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m. A mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, February 25th, 2025 at St. Augustine of Canterbury Church 80 Shoreham Dr., North York. Interment to follow at Beechwood Cemetery.
