Eliana Rosa Donati (nee Andreuzzi)

May 16, 1936 - April 14, 2025

It is with very heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved wife/mother, Eliana Rosa Donati (nee Andreuzzi). Eliana passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her family in her 88th year on April 14, 2025. She was born to Bruno and Italia Andreuzzi on May 16, 1936 in Navarons, Friuli, Italy. Eliana is now reunited with her dear brother, Franco and parents Italia and Bruno.

Eliana is survived by her beloved husband, Antonio, with whom she has been married for 66 wonderful years. Eliana and Antonio married in 1959, after which he came to Canada to start a life for them. She joined him in Toronto in 1960, and together they had two children, Bruno (Nadia) and Cathy (Dino), with whom she loved dearly. She will be greatly missed by her grandchildren, Daniel, Lauren, Samantha and Alex, as well as her extended family and friends.

Eliana took great pride in her family and treasured her grandchildren, helping to care for them, especially when they were very young. She was fiercely protective of those she loved most and will be fondly remembered for being a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She will also be remembered for her lovingly mischievous, and strong-willed demeanor. She delighted in cooking for her family, and was particularly skilled at cooking lasagna, roasts, game and fish. She also loved to dance, spend time reading, and needlepoint.

Eliana lived a full life and created countless happy memories that will always remain in the hearts of her family and friends. Our grief over losing Eliana is infinite, but our loving memory of her will always remain in our hearts.

Family and friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home (4671 Highway 7, Woodbridge) on Monday, April 21, 2025, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Funeral Service to take place on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, in the Ward Funeral Home Chapel (4671 Highway 7, Woodbridge) at 10:30 a.m. Entombment to follow at Glendale Memorial Gardens.
