Elgin Charles Archdekin:

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Elgin Charles Archdekin, age 67, on Friday, September 19, 2014 at the Brampton Civic Hospital. Dearly loved husband of Jean Archdekin for 43 wonderful years. Loving father to Jennifer (Michael) Lowry, Edward (Kathie), Alex (Jessica), and Robert. He was a proud grandfather to Mackenzie, Andrew, Erik, Evelyn and Carter. Brother to the late Stanley and Rose Archdekin, Cindy and Bev Hartzenberg and Dave Archdekin. Sadly missed by Gord (late Josie) McClure, Ruth and John Downey and Bruce and Joan McClure. Elgin will be missed greatly by his many extended family and friends. He was proud to carry on his father’s successful plumbing business which was established in 1943. Elgin operated the family business for 41 years and proudly passed it onto his sons. His zest for life and his love and dedication to his family will be treasured forever. Elgin, we love you, you will always be in our hearts.

Family and friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home, “Brampton Chapel” 52 Main Street South, (Hwy 10), Brampton on Sunday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday at 1:00 p.m. at St. Paul’s United Church, 30 Main Street South, Brampton. Interment Brampton Cemetery.
