Eleanor Wray

Eleanor Kathleen Wray (nee Reeve) 93 passed away on March 24, 2023. Eleanor was born in Toronto and lived there her entire life. She was married to Ted Wray for more than 71 years, and will now join him. She leaves behind Tom (Mara), Cathy (Hartmuth), Peter (Linda), her grandchildren Amy (Derek), Daniel (Julia), Adam (Théa), Meaghan, Alex and her great grandchildren Jade, Ethan and Thomas. She will be missed by her close-knit church friends for whom she was an organizer and hand crafts expert. As a young person she showed a flair for the theatre as a player in “Pirates of Penzance”. Later in life she joined the amateur theatre group at her church where she played a role in a number of productions. Crafts were her passion and every Christmas Bazaar her handiwork featured on every table at the church. She found inspiration for many of her craft projects through her countless hours of volunteer work at the Humber Memorial Hospital gift shop. Eleanor found a love for ceramics once the kids were off to school. This led to she and Ted frequenting many craft fairs in the area and starting their business, “Something Special”. The sign for their craft booth moved to the cottage once they retired from the craft fair circuit: a cottage that was truly Something Special in their lives.
