ELDA MASCHERIN nee SAVERIO
With heavy hearts we announce the passing of a great lady. Elda died peacefully at Humber River Hospital, Palliative Care Unit on Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2017 after a brief illness at 90 years of age. She will be finally reunited with her beloved husband Angelo whom she missed so much. (Dec. 8, 2005)
Cherished mom to Evano ( Marina) and Gina( Matt Tramonte), amazing nonna to 4 lucky grandchildren: Carla(Paul), Adam(Stephanie), Anthony(Daniella), Tanya(Oliver) and special bisnonna to 5 great grandchildren: Mikayla, Leah , Christian, Isabella and Gwenyth.
Visitations will be held at Ward Funeral Home, 4671 Highway #7, Woodbridge , Thurs. Mar.2 , from 2-4 and 7-9 pm.
A funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Roch C. Church, 2889 Islington Ave., on Fri. Mar. 3, at 10:30 am.
Christian burial to follow at Beechwood Cemetery, 7241 Jane St., Concord.
Many thanks to the kind and compassionate staff at Villa Colombo, Fusco Wing, third and fourth floors
and the Adult Day program who provided great care and comfort to Elda who spent her last 9 years there quietly suffering with Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease.
Our heartfelt gratitude to dear Irma for her kindness and love to our mom.
Elda adored children. In her honour donations to Make a Wish Foundation are greatly appreciated by the family in lieu of flowers.
