ILCHYNA, Eileen Margaret (nee Warren)

Eileen was born on April 24, 1936 in Camberwell, London, England. She peacefully passed away on Monday
April 11, 2016 at the Village of Humber Heights at the age of 79. Eileen is survived by her beloved husband Anton “Tony” Ilchyna, her loving sons Ron and Rick and his wife Sylva, and by her two grandchildren Keegan and Jarrett. She is predeceased by her parents Thomas and Eileen Warren (nee Haddon), her sister Barbara and her two brothers Michael and Robert. While visiting Canada, she met Tony at a dance. They married in 1961 and settled in Etobicoke. They bought land on Amherst Island in 1969 and spent many summers clearing the land and building their summer home. Eileen loved writing poetry, fishing, cooking, dancing, and spending time with her friends and family. The family wishes to thank the staff at the Village of Humber Heights and at Kipling Acres for their kindness and compassionate care.

Friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home, 2035 Weston Road (North of Lawrence Ave. W.) Weston on Sunday from 2-5pm. A funeral service will be held at St. Philip’s Anglican Church, 31 St. Phillips Rd., Toronto on Monday April 18, 2016 at 11am. Interment to follow at St. Philip’s Anglican Church Cemetery.
