Edna Crosdale, 88, left us on September 21, 2013 in Toronto, Canada.
Edna was born October 28, 1924 in Camaguey Cuba to Soloman Crosdale and Floretta Harriot. She grew up with her grandparents in Cedar Valley St. Thomas Jamaica.
After Edna finished school she learned dressmaking and eventually went to live and work in Kingston. She immigrated to Canada in 1971. She worked and took courses which enhanced her culinary skills. Everyone knows of the pride she took in her cooking and baking.
She was baptized November 1996 and was given the right hand of fellowship and became a member of Mount Dennis Baptist Church December of the same year. She also served as a member of the church choir.
Many will remember her straight forwardness, sense of humour and generosity. Defensive, protective and devoted to family, she did not spare any effort to attend family events.
Edna is survived by her adopted daughter Ann Marie, brother Arnold, sister Guen, nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews, a host of cousins and numerous friends and acquaintances.
