Our paths on this earth lead us into many different directions.
And so it was on a bitter cold December night in 1932 Earl Martin Robinson entered this world to begin his life journey that lay before him.
His parents Frank and Ann Robinson along with their growing family resided in Toronto on Alton Avenue. In 1952 the family moved to Brampton and made their home on Church Street. The father Frank Robinson purchased "Rosedale Dairy" and the business became a family affair where all members of the Robinson family took part in its daily operation.
Earl with his older brother Frank worked the daily milk delivery routes, while the other family members took part in the day to day operation of the Dairy.
In the early 80's Frank Robinson Sr. sold the business and the family children made their own way in life.
It was during these years that Earl found the direction of his life path while working as a Real Estate Agent for Mitchell Real Estate. As time passed, Earl realized an opportunity to branch out on his own and become a Real Estate Income Property Owner. With some financial help from his local bank, hard work and true grit and creativity Earl built a successful business. In a sense he became an entrepreneur. In 1964 Earl married Heidi and over the years they had two children Frank and Robert.
Many years into the marriage it came to light that there was another child from a relationship many years prior to his marriage. It was a daughter Patricia Leslie Coleman who resided in Nova Scotia.
As time went by Patricia and her husband Charlie become regular annual visitors to Brampton. By this time Earl become quite proficient with his internet and email skills, which became a source of communication with his daughter and her husband.
Over time, Earl the entrepreneur experienced the signs of aging and realized he did not have the same strength, energy and health he once had and these circumstances ultimately led to his decision to sell his Income Properties. While mobility, just taking a breat became almost unbearable, Earl was so very fortunate to have Physician and friend Dr. Fred Lui. To say earl was fortunate to have Dr. Lui as his physician is an understatement, he willing care for Earl to the very end of his life by driving a long distance several times a month to our home in Brampton to attend to his needs.
His legacy is a man who never shied away from a hard day's work, treated his business relationships he fostered over the years with respect and departs this earth as a success.
As a final tribute to Earl he lived his life like the song by his favourite singer Frank Sinatra
I did it "MY WAY"
We have to mention that Earl was a great dog loved especially of Saint Bernard's these gentle giants brought much joy and happiness to our family lives. The last of the big guys "Teddy" mourns his best friend's passing each day. Earl gave him love and Teddy gave it back in spades.
Rest in Peace Earl as your family, friends, pet and acquaintances mourn your loss.
Due to current circumstances, a private family funeral was held on Tuesday February 16, 2021.
A celebration of Earl's life will be held at a later date when it is appropriate to gather again.
