It is with great sadness and heavy heart that we announce the untimely passing of Dwight Potter of Etobicoke on June 27 at age 63.
Dwight was loved and is survived by his wife Brenda, his son Harrison, daughters Sarah and Hillary, mother in law Anna, and brothers in law Denny and Robert Niksic.
He is predeceased by his parents Teresa and Lou Potter. He will be dearly missed by the beloved family chihuahuas, Lucy and Lil Pup.
Dwight was renowned in the investment industry and had a long tenure with BMO Nesbitt Burns where he was Senior Vice President and Managing Director and ran one of the largest franchises in the GTA. While Dwight had many great achievements in his career, he also found enjoyment in his fine car collection and in attending sporting events. He will be missed by Horst, Chris and Victor of whom he spoke very highly, and also by the rest of his team and numerous colleagues.
Friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home, 2035 Weston Road (North of Lawrence Ave. W.) Weston, on Monday, July 6th from 2-4 and
7-9p.m.
A Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Sorrows Church (3055 Bloor Street West, Etobicoke) on Tuesday, July 7th, at 11a.m. with a reception to follow.
Donations made the the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated by the family.
