Dr. J. Hunter McCracken DDS
September 1927 – September 2015

Passed away peacefully surrounded by loving family in his 89th year. Beloved husband of Allison of 63 years whom he adored. Loving father of David (Young Ah), Ann, Dr. Doug (Nancy), and Donald (Carole). Cherished grandpa of Michael (Carlye), Geoffrey (Krista), Mitchell, Harrison, Nathaniel, Michelle, Nicolas, great grandpa of Hannah, Olivia, Brayden, Sydney, Xavier, and Colby. Survived by his brother William (Bill) (the late Ruth). He will be dearly missed by many nephews, nieces and cousins.

Hunter was raised on a farm in Derry West, attended Brampton High School and graduated from the Faculty of Dentistry at the University of Toronto in 1951.

With much appreciation to the Palliative Care Staff at William Osler Brampton Civic Hospital and the wonderful and compassionate staff at Malton Village LTC.

Family and friends may be received at the Ward Funeral Home, “Brampton Chapel” 52 Main Street South, Brampton on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will take place on Monday at 11am at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, 44 Church Street East, Brampton. Interment Brampton Cemetery.

In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church in memory of Dr. Hunter McCracken.
