A former Captain with the Toronto Fire Department passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on December 25, 2014. Beloved husband of Barbara for 59yrs. Loving father to Debbie (Joe), Brian (Lisette), Brenda (Tony) and Gary (Charmaine). Loving Grandpa to Melissa, Amanda, Brayden, Nick, Alycia, Jennifer and Melissa, and four great grand children.
Brother to Walter (predeceased), Fred and Ken.

After his retirement he enjoyed traveling with his wife. He was a member of the Invictones Choral Group. He was a bowler, golfer, a former youth hockey coach and he loved to cook.

Friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home 2035 Weston Road (north of Lawrence Ave) Weston, on Saturday, January 10 from 1:30 – 3:30pm. A Memorial Service will follow in the chapel at 3:30pm. In Doug's memory a donation to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
