HEYWORTH, Douglas Denton - (Retired Bell Canada) At Humber River Hospital on February 24, 2010, age of 77. The family announces with profound shock and sadness their loss of a husband, best friend and lover to his wife, Vi. Treasured Dad to his four sons and daughters-in-law, Brian (Angela), Bruce (Jeannie), Je ff (Meghan) and Mike (Roxanne). Cherished Grandpa to Keara, Spencer, Justin, Mitchell, R obbie-Lyn, Paige, William, Matthew, Jack and Thomas. Brother of Joyce Parker, Richard and David. Predeceased by sister Doris Richardson, brothers Vic, Frank, Fred, Ted and Jack. In keeping with Doug's wishes casual dress is requested, in keeping with his low key lifestyle. His second wish is to have donations earmarked 'Multiple Myeloma Research' to find a cure for Vi's cancer at Princess Margaret Hospital Foundation, 610 University Ave., Toronto, ON M5G 2M9. Family and friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home, 2035 Weston Rd. (north of Lawrence Ave. W.), Weston on Friday from 1-3 and 7-8:30 p.m. Service at St. Matthias Anglican Church, 1428 Royal York Rd., Etobicoke, north of Eglington Ave. on Saturday, February 27, 2010 at 11 a.m. The Reverend Canon Reg Stackhouse officiating. Church has an elevator for those in need. Reception to follow Service. Cremation. A Book of Memories may be signed at www.wardfuneralhome.com
