Longtime former proprietor of Petrie TV, Weston. Past president of York West Meals on Wheels and former volunteer at Humber Hospital, Weston.
On Wednesday July 24, 2013 at the Village of Humber Heights Longterm Care, beloved wife of the late “Fergie”. Loving mother of Jack and his wife Marnie, Jeanne and her husband Ron, Karen and Darryl and his wife Leslie. Special friend of the late Robert Hudson. Dear Grandmother of Barton, Stephanie, Mark, Laura, Angela, Heather, Geoffrey, Mitchell and Amanda and Great Grandmother of 8. Will be sadly missed by her sister Edna.
Dorretta’s family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to all the nursing staff and care givers at The Village of Humber Heights – Brule Longterm Care floor, for their tremendous support. Friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home, 2035 Weston Road (North of Lawrence Ave. W.) Weston on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9pm A funeral service will be held at Central United Church (Weston Road and King Street), Weston on Monday at 11am. Interment to follow at Sanctuary Park Cemetery.
