Dorothy Margaret Marie Waters
(nee Majuery, Dalzell)

With great sadness we say goodbye to Dorothy Waters, in her 89th year, who passed away at Brampton Civic Hospital on Monday December 16, 2024 due to cardiac complications.

Dorothy will be remembered lovingly by her husband Jack Waters and her children Susan (Mike Fernane), Glenn and Gerry Dalzell. She was the best grandma ever to Stephanie (Sean), Jamie, Dan, Nick(Drishti), and Zack (deceased) and great grandma to her precious Evelyn and Nolan. She is remembered dearly by her brother-in-law Terry Walker and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her brothers Lawrence and Delmer Majuery and her sister Marion Walker.

Dorothy was born in Burk’s Falls but spent most of her childhood in Georgetown. After marrying Fred Dalzell and moving to Brampton, when she had time from raising 3 children, she loved to be in the vegetable garden, cutting grass, lying by the pool, looking after many family pets, baking and hosting family and friends. Everyone was welcome at our house.

In 1986 she married Jack Waters and welcomed his family with love including Rick, Wayne (deceased)(Patty), Judy (Tom), and their children Patrick (Renee), Cynthia, Leigh (Gordon), Amanda, Kim, Kassandra and great grandchildren Madison, Kyle, Jason and Joshua.

Dorothy and Jack loved to spend summers on the boat where they explored Ontario, hosted family and friends and did countless cruises of the Toronto shore. In the winter they headed down to Florida enjoying time with friends.

Dorothy was all about family and there was nothing she wouldn’t do. Phone calls, visits, babysitting,driving, baking more butter tarts - you just had to ask.

Visitation will take place at Wards Funeral Home, Brampton, Thursday December 19. 2024 from 12:30 to 2:00 p.m. followed by a service starting at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel.
